Imran's Family, KP CM Demand Prison Meeting, Threaten Sit-In

Sisters of incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, have publicly demanded an immediate meeting with the former prime minister at his place of detention, warning of a formal sit-in protest should authorities continue to deny access.

The demand escalates a growing standoff between PTI leadership and federal authorities over conditions governing Imran Khan's detention and his ability to receive family and party visitors. PTI has repeatedly alleged that access to Khan has been systematically restricted in a manner inconsistent with judicial and humanitarian norms.

KP Chief Minister Afridi's direct involvement in the demand lends the pressure campaign an official governmental dimension, as it moves beyond a purely familial appeal to one carrying the weight of an elected provincial executive. Afridi has aligned himself firmly with the PTI position on the matter, signalling potential administrative and political leverage.
