ISPR: 23 Terrorists Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

The Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed on Thursday that 23 terrorists were killed in a series of intelligence-based and operational clearance actions conducted by Pakistan's security forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations mark one of the more significant single-day militant neutralisation tallies reported in the province in recent weeks.

According to ISPR, the operations were carried out in multiple areas of KP, targeting militant hideouts and disrupting terrorist networks operating in the region. The military's media wing stated that the actions were conducted with precision and resulted in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive device-making material.

President Asif Zardari praised the security forces for their conduct, lauding the operations as a demonstration of the state's resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistani territory. The presidential statement described the fallen militants as elements posing an active threat to civilians and security personnel alike.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to bear the brunt of Pakistan's counterterrorism burden, with security forces conducting near-daily operations against TTP-affiliated and other militant groups. The scale of Thursday's action underscores the persistence of the insurgent threat and the operational tempo being maintained by the military across the province.
