Zuma Resources Signs eSIM Telecom Deal With US Firm Telna
Pakistan's Zuma Resources has signed a global telecommunications deal with US-based Telna, signalling the company's formal entry into the eSIM market. The agreement positions Zuma Resources to distribute and leverage Telna's eSIM infrastructure, enabling connectivity services across international markets with Pakistan as a base for regional expansion.
The deal marks a notable commercial step for Zuma Resources, a company that has been diversifying its portfolio beyond its traditional mining and resource sectors. Partnering with Telna, which operates a global eSIM and multi-network connectivity platform, gives Zuma access to established international telecom rails and a growing segment of the wireless services industry.
eSIM technology has seen accelerating adoption globally as device manufacturers and carriers move away from physical SIM infrastructure. The Pakistan market, with its large mobile subscriber base and improving digital penetration, presents meaningful commercial opportunity for early movers in the eSIM space.
The partnership reflects a broader trend of Pakistani companies seeking technology-linked commercial agreements with US and Western counterparts as part of business diversification strategies. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
